Max Verstappen is a four-time Formula 1 World Champion. Born in Hasselt, Belgium, son of former F1 driver Jos Verstappen, he made his F1 debut with Toro Rosso in 2015 at age 17 — the youngest driver in the sport's history. He moved to Red Bull Racing partway through 2016 and, on his debut for the team, became the youngest-ever race winner at age 18. He won his first title in dramatic fashion at the 2021 Abu Dhabi finale, then took back-to-back-to-back championships in 2022, 2023, and 2024. In 2023 he won 19 of 22 races, an all-time single-season record. He finished runner-up in the 2025 Drivers' Championship.
